Ghana international Thomas Teye Partey came off the bench to grab his first La Liga goal for Atletico Madrid in their 5-0 drubbing of Las Palmas on Saturday.

The Ghana international midfielder replaced Jose Gimenez in the 67th minute and managed to find the back of the net after five minutes.

Coach Diego Simeone granted Antoinne Griezmann some rest by sending on Angel Correa in the 72nd minute and less than 60 seconds later he combined brilliantly with Thomas Partey, who swept home a fine finish within six minutes of coming on.

His compatriot Prince Boateng was sent off on the 65th minute mark for a yellow card offence after elbowing an opponent in an aerial challenge.
