It's no surprise if Wa All Stars win the Ghana Premier League

Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi backs Wa All Stars to lift the Ghana Premier League title.

After match day 26 of the Ghana Premier League season, the Wa based side are leading the log sheet with 45 point, one point better than the second placed team Aduana Stars.

Since Wa All Stars got promoted into the Premier League eight years ago, this has been their best performance and Nyantakyi believes they are on course to win the league.

“If Wa All Stars doesn’t want to win the league, what is the purpose of participating in the league,” Nyantakyi told Starr FM.

“The purpose of participating is to generate competition. Competition means that a fair equal opportunity to all the sixteen clubs everybody is capable of winning the league including Wa All Stars.”

“If Wa All Stars wins, it shouldn’t be surprising, they have done very well this year. This is the best performance of the club. For me as President of the FA it is a very healthy development for the game that is so unpredictable because if Wa All Stars should win that will be history.”
