The accomodation challenge that has faced Black Stars coaches over the years is on the verge of getting a lasting solution, after the Ministry of Works and Housing assured Kwesi Appiah that a permanent residence will be secured for him.

Ex-Black Stars coach Avram Grant lodged at the Alisa hotel for the two-year period he spent as the coach of the team and that incurred huge cost on the Ghana Football Association, because it was a $3,000 a night suite.

Kwesi Appiah who has the full backing of government has been promised a permanent accomodation during the period he will be working as the coach of the Black Stars and his successors are likely to benefit from this same arrangement.

“We (GFA) were on the verge of renting a temporal place for Kwesi Appiah and the second plan was to mortgage a house and then pay in installment so we could own the place”, George Afriyie, the chairman of the Black Stars management committee told Sportsobama.com.

“Just as we were discussing that, he told us he had sorted out with the Ministry of Housing and they had promised to provide a permanent accommodation for him and so we have a temporal place for him where he will stay for three months”
