Juventus player suffers new injury

Ghanaian player Kwadwo Asamoah suffered a new injury at Juventus on Thursday and is set to undergo a check up

Ghana international and Juventus player Kwadwo Asamoah has suffered a new injury blow and is set to undergo a medical check-up on Friday as the Italian Champions prepare to play Chievo Verona on Sunday.

The Ghanaian played in the entire duration of the Coppa Italia game against Inter Milan with Juventus winning by three goals to nil.

Asamoah however reported a muscular discomfort during training on Thursday with an injury update on the Juventus official website stating:

“Kwadwo Asamoah and Mario Mandzukic were both absent from this morning’s workout after they reported muscular discomfort during yesterday’s win over the Nerazzurri.

“The Ghanaian (right thigh) and Croatian (left calf) will undergo medical checks tomorrow to assess the full extent of their issues.”

The Black Stars player is set to miss the Italian Serie A game on Sunday as Juventus will not risk aggravating his injury taking into account the fitness trouble Kwadwo Asamoah has gone through in the past year.
