David Duncan's Kotoko were plunged down into the bottom of the Ghana Premier League temporarily after being ripped apart by rampant West Africa Football Academy in Sogakope.

The Porcupine Warriors conceded a goal in each half to end the game.
Charles Boateng, netted just four minutes before recess from close range after the initial effort from skipper Martin Antwi was parried away onto his path.
Samuel Tetteh doubled the advantage three minutes into the second half in remarkable fashion. The former Black Satellites winger received a brilliant pass from Gideon Waja on the right flank and out paced Amos Frimpong.

He then raced clear and sent the ball low beyond helpless keeper Ofori Antwi.
The Academy boys had numerous other chances to annihilate the Porcupine Warriors, but Ofori Antwi had to race off his line to save Kotoko's blushes.
Below are the five things we learnt:
1. Kotoko can’t defend
They may have spent the huge sums of money in the off season, but Duncan failed to strengthen the area that he needed to most.

WAFA dissected the Porcupine Warriors’ backline without breaking sweat. The way that Samuel Tetteh strode through to score WAFA’s second highlights just how shocking Kotoko’s concept of defending is.
Subsequent attempts had to be dealt with by Ofori Antwi.
2. Kotoko are stretched ahead of AshGold clash
Felix Annan limped off before the end of the first half, after clashing with Charles Boateng.
It leaves Ofori Antwi and Ernest Sowah to fight for who should man the post against the defending league champions. It is an early season blow for the record premier league champions and Duncan will be unhappy he lost him.

3. WAFA has matured
Last season, WAFA went three matches without recording a win. They, however recovered and made amends, surviving relegation on the final day of the season.
They looked different from the side that had a torrid start last year, and exuded with class in their play with telepathy.
Their confidence has soared and teams will struggle to take points from the Sogakope Stadium.
4. Obed Owusu is not reliable

Let’s not kid ourselves, he cannot be a lead striker for a team who are title contenders. He was clearly out of the game and he barely made an impact.
He fluffed the glorious opportunities Kotoko had in the match and Duncan should be writing lengthy notes for his striking department.
5. Jackson Owusu will be missed
Jackson Owusu broke tibia and broke many Kotoko faithfuls last weekend when he played in a Sunday special match a week to the big kick off.
The technical team and management of the team has maintained that the services of the former Berekum Chelsea midfielder will not be missed, but it will be miraculous if Kotoko stay afloat without his services.

Kwadwo Poku who has been seen as Jackson's replacement, laboured without succeeding in winning any 50-50 balls and he hardly managed to get a perfect pass to a colleague.
It is still early days, but Jackson Owusu can't be replaced and he will be missed by David Duncan.
