Ghana international, Kevin-Prince Boateng has indicated that the Black Stars deserved a place in the last four of the 2010 FIFA World Cup staged in South Africa.

Ghana were on the brink of reaching the semi-finals but were denied by Luis Suarez, who used his hand to prevent Adiyiah’s header from entering Uruguay’s net and Asamoah Gyan missed the resultant penalty kick.

Kevin-Prince Boateng who was an active member of the Black Stars in 2010 believes Ghana deserved a place in the semi-finals.

“After getting out of the group it was definitely our aim to reach the semi-finals. I think we deserved to as well, people could see how much passion there was in our game, we had the fans and the whole continent behind us,” the La Palmas new star told FIFA TV on Tuesday.

“I could not play at the same level in 2014 for a thousand reasons.” Boateng added
