West Ham, Bournemouth scrambling for Ghanaian forward

AFC Bournemouth and West Ham United are battling for the signature of Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew after his Aston Villa team were relegated from the English Premier League

The Express & Star says Jordan Ayew is being targeted by Bournemouth and West Ham as the vultures circle upon the club's relegation from the Premier League.

After a slow start to Premier League life, he has cemented his place in the Villa front-line, scoring six goals in 23 Premier League appearances for the rock-bottom side.

Ayew is understood to be keen to remain in the Premier League following his switch from French club Lorient last year.
