'God will decide my Villa future'

The striker spoke for the first time since relegation and stated he is still a Villa player and unaware of any rumours regarding his future.

Jordan Ayew has ruled out a possible move out of Aston Villa and insisted that he is unaware of any rumours regarding his future.

The Ghana international was one of the few Aston Villa players to come out of last season with any credit. He scored just seven goals in 36 appearances for the Midlands club but considering the service he received in a dire Villa team this was not a bad return.

He also impressed with his all round play and could certainly do a job in the top-flight in light of Villa’s relegation to the Championship.

Jordan told GH One TV: "Relegation is not easy for the players, it is not easy for the workers aswell.

" It was not easy for everyone. I was sad. It was a difficult moment for us."

"For two or three days I didn't want to speak to anyone.

“If there are rumours out there I don't know of anything. I told my agent not to tell me anything.

"For my first year in England, I think I did well.

"For now, I'm still a Villa player. We'll see what God has for me (in next month)."
