Ghanaian player issues warning ahead of Manchester United clash

Jeffrey Schlupp says Leicester City are now playing the English Premier League to win it

Leicester City go into the Premier League game against Manchester United needing just three points to clinch the league title. Claudio Ranieri’s team are on 76 points, 7 points ahead of second placed Tottenham Hotspur with just three games to play.

Schlupp and his teammates have defied the odds to all season and the Ghanaian says it is now open news that Leicester City want to win the league title.

“It's not a secret any longer that we’re playing to win it,” the player who had a trial at Old Trafford in January 2013 said ahead of the game against Manchester United.

"We keep saying that we'll take each game as it comes but if we win on Sunday then we're there.”

Leicester City have made some shuffles in their squad when necessary this season. Jeffrey Schlupp came in for Marc Albrighton in the comfortable 4-0 win against Black Stars vice-captain Andre Ayew’s Swansea City and performed wel.

Ghana international Daniel Amartey who joined the club in the January transfer window has also played his part.

Schlupp hailed the tactics of his manager and also his teammates for their efforts this season saying:

“You saw the gaffer made changes and the players that came on had an impact.

"You saw what Demarai [Gray] was capable of, and [Andy King] came on and did his thing. It just shows our togetherness and how hard everyone is working for each other.

"It's all part of what we've been like all season.”

A win for Jeffrey Schlupp and his Leicester City teammates away at Manchester United will make them Champions for the 2015/2016 league season.
