Ghanaian boxer defends WBO Africa featherweight belt

Isaac Dogboe defended his WBO Africa featherweight belt with sixth KO

Dogboe was the crowd favorite as he was heavily tipped to win the fight and in the first round he sent Kakemdo to the canvas with a body shot, the visitor rose and finished the round.

The Ghanaian dominated the Ugandan in round two and three and the champion powerful left jab staggered Kakembo as he visited the canvas for the second time.

In six, Dogboe kept the pressure on Kakembo who holds the Africa Boxing Union (ABU) featherweight belt as he finished him off - another body shots sent the Ugandan to the mat for the third time but this time he failed to beat the referee’s count as he was counted out.

After the win Dogboe has improved to (14-0, 9 KO’s) while Kakembo dropped to (11-1, 3 KO’s).
