Brazilian to partner Asamoah Gyan after €55 million bid from Shanghai SIPG

Brazil international Hulk has reportedly agreed on personal terms to join Shanghai SIPG after the club offered Zenit St Petersburg €55 million.

Shangai SIPG are currently fourth on the Chinese Super League and last year’s runner up team are looking to strengthen their squad as they are 12 points behind leaders Guangzhou Evergrande.

Zenit St Petersburg forward Hulk has reportedly agreed on personal terms with the Chinese club as the Brazilian is set to receive salaries in the region of €20 million annually.

The €55 million transfer fee will also made Hulk the most expensive player in the Chinese league moving ahead of big money transfer players including Alex Teixeira’s €50 million move from Shaktar Donetsk to Jiangsu Suning in February.

Zenit St Petersburg have previously rejected a €30 million transfer bid for Brazil international Hulk but agreed to accept money in the region of €55 million, the same amount they paid for Hulk’s transfer from Portuguese side FC Porto four years ago.

Shanghai SIPG’s move for Hulk would give them a powerful attacking team as they already have Ghana’s Asamoah Gyan and Ivory Coast’s Jean Evrard Kouassi.

Hulk has played 147 games for Russian side Zenit St Petersburg scoring 74 goals and proving 60 assists in those games.
