The 20-year-old was named in Crystal Palace’s match-day squad after injuries to two key midfielders at the Premier League club, thus putting on hold Plymouth Argyle’s quest to bring him back to Home Park for a second loan spell.

He started the game from the bench after he replaced Johan Cabaye in the 72nd minute for the visitors in midfield.

The game ended 1-1 after Scott Dann earned a point for Crystal Palace against Swansea City after cancelling out Gylfi Sigurdsson’s 13th-minute goal at the Liberty Stadium.
