Tema Youth eyes Hearts of Oak scalp in Tema

Tema Youth will face off against Accra Hearts on Wednesday on match day 7 of the Ghana Premier League

The Tema based club are unbeaten in their home grounds since the domestic top-flight took off, they have played three games, won two and drew one.

Their last game at home they defeated Premier League new babies Bolga All Stars 2-0.

For the Phobians they are yet to win an away game in the ongoing campaign, after playing three games on the road, Hearts of Oak have drawn two and lost one. Their only loss came against Aduana Stars losing 2-0.

In Tema Youth’s last game, they lost 2-1 at WAFA, while the Phobians won 2-1 over their city-rivals Great Olympics.

Ahead of the game, Tema Youth top striker Joseph Painstil spoke with Pulse.com,gh.

“It won’t be an easy game, it will surely be a difficult one because we are playing Hearts of Oak, one of the greatest clubs in the country.

“Definitely our target is to beat them and we are fired up for that. Since the league started we have won two home games and drawn one, and we want to continue our winning form at home.”

But Hearts of Oak dependable defender Inusah Musah is sure of his side’s win against the Harbour Boys.

“We played a difficult game against Olympic which we won and that has really motivated us ahead of our game against Tema Youth,” Musah said.

“We want to win every game and Tema Youth will just be our victim, we will beat them because we are using their game as a preparatory grounds for our crucial game against Kotoko on Sunday.”
