Andre Ayew was replaced by Leon Britton in added time in the Premier League game against West Ham United.

Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew played the full game for Aston Villa as they drew 0-0 against Newcastle United at Villa Park.

Aston Villa who have been relegated saw their fans protest at the game by throwing balloon balls unto the football pitch.

Abdul Baba Rahman made a substitute appearance for his Chelsea team who were stunned in the Premier League game against relegation-threatened Sunderland on Saturday.

Chelsea scored the opening goal of the game but Sunderland came from behind to win by three goals to two with Jermain Defoe scoring the winner for Sunderland.

In the English Championship, Albert Adomah and his Middlesbrough team won promotion to the English Premier League after their 1-1 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Adomah’s Middlesbrough placed second on the league log to automatically qualify and avoid play-offs. Middlesbrough were edged by Norwich City in the play-offs final last season.

In the Italian Serie A, Kevin-Prince Boateng was an 84th minute substitute for his AC Milan team who travelled to play Bologna on Saturday.

The Ghanaian midfielder and his teammates edged home team Bologna by one goal to nil.

Isaac Cofie played the first half for Carpi in their home defeat against Lazio in the Serie A. Carpi missed two penalties in the game which Lazio won by three goals to one.

Alfred Duncan played the full duration for Sassuolo in their 1-0 win over Frosinone away from home in the Italian Serie A.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu was in action for his Udinese team who drew one all against Atalanta in the Serie A on Sunday.

Kwadwo Asamoah played 71 minutes for Italian Serie A Champions Juventus who were handed an away defeat by Hellas Verona.

Hellas Verona won the game against the Serie A Champions by two goals to one.

Ghanaian midfielder Afriyie Acquah did get 52 minutes of playing time for Torino who were handed a 2-1 home defeat by Napoli.

In the Spanish La Liga, Thomas Partey’s Atletico Madrid were dropped from the title race after they were handed a 2-1 defeat away from home against Levante.

Thomas Partey was introduced into the game in the 70th minute when his team was level on goals with Levante. Partey replaced Gabi in the loss for Atletico Madrid.

Wakaso Mubarak missed the La Liga game for his Las Palmas team who played out a goalless draw against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.

Bernard Mensah did not also play a part for his Getafe team in their 1-1 draw at home to Sporting Gijon.

Christian Atsu played the full game for Spanish La Liga team Malaga in their 1-0 away defeat against Celta Vigo on Sunday.

Abdul Majeed Waris missed the French Ligue 1 game against Bordeaux as his FC Lorient team were beaten on the road by three goals without reply.

In Belgium Frank Acheampong featured for his Anderlecht team in their home game against Oostede in the play-offs.

The Ghanaian player and his team won the game by two goals to one.

In the Major League Soccer Dominic Oduro was on target for his Montreal Impact team in their away game against Harrison Afful’s Columbus Crew.

The Ghanaian salvaged a point for Montreal Impact with a late equalizer in the eight-goal thriller. Ghana international Harrison Afful also played 87 minutes in the 4-4 draw for his Columbus Crew side.
