Ghanaian player Daniel Amartey was in action for Premier League champions Leicester City when they lost away at Sunderland by two goals to one. Amartey started and played in the full duration of the game.

Jeffrey Schlupp who was named in the matchday squad for Leicester City could not come off the bench for the game.

Andre Ayew and his West Ham United team were thrashed by five goals to one at home to Arsenal. Ayew was introduced into the game after 63 minutes of play replacing Edimilson Fernandes.

In the English Championship, played no part in Newcastle United’s 2-1 defeat away at Nottingham Forest.

Andy Yiadom played the full game for Barnsley who won their English Championship game against Birmingham City by three goals to nil.

Ghanaian players Albert Adomah and Jordan Ayew shared a game in Aston Villa’s 2-0 loss away from home to Leeds United.

Adomah started the game and played 77 minutes before he was replaced by his international teammate Jordan Ayew.

In the Italian Serie A, Kwadwo Asamoah was an unused substitute when Juventus entertained Atalanta at home. The Italian Serie A champions won the game by three goals to one.

Claud Adjapong was on the bench for Sassuolo who won their home game in the Italian Serie A by three goals to nil.

Afriyie Acquah came on in the 84th minute for Torino in the Italian Serie A for their game against Sampdoria. The Ghanaian and his team lost the away game by two goals to nil.

Thomas Partey could not make it off the bench in the Italian Serie A when Atletico Madrid played at home to Espanyol. Atletico were held to a goalless draw in the game.

Kevin-Prince Boateng missed Las Palmas Spanish La Liga game against Alaves. The game ended with a 1-1 scoreline.

In Germany, Abdul Baba Rahman and his Schalke 04 lost their away game against RasenBallsport Leipzig in the Bundesliga by two goals to one. The Ghanaian defender was only on the bench and did not play a part.

In the French Ligue 1,Abdul Majeed Wariscontinued his scoring form to rescue a point for his FC Lorient team who travelled to play Angers. The Ghanaian striker played 86 minutes for his team in the game that ended 2-2.

Frank Acheampong made a cameo for Anderlecht who won their away game to Kortrijk by three goals to one. Acheampong replaced Sofiane Hanni after 88 minutes of play.
