Kwarasey and his team needed just a draw to secure the league title in their game against Molde.

Home team Molde started the game on the high foot scoring the first goal on the half hour mark but Rosenborg came back to score three goals to secure a 3-1 win as they were crowned champions of Norway.

In the Italian Serie A, Kwadwo Asamoah was taken off after suffering an injury in Juventus’ win against Palermo. The Ghanaian suffered a sprained knee and will be out for around 45 days.

Afriyie Acquah missed Torino’s game in the Italian Serie A as his side won by three goals to one against Roma.

Isaac Cofie was an unused substitute for Genoa in their 1-1 draw against Pescara.

Ghanaian player Godfred Donsah was an unused substitute for Bologna in their 1-1 draw against Inter Milan away from home.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu did not play a part in Udinese’s 1-0 loss away at Sassuolo.

In the English Premier League, champions Leicester City were beaten by Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Ghanaian player Daniel Amartey started the game for Leicester and went on to play in the full duration of the game. Jeffrey Schlupp also played his first league game of the season coming on as a substitute for the Premier League champions against Manchester United.

Jordan Ayew, Albert Adomah and Christain Atsu’s teams faced off in the English Championship on Saturday.

Jordan and Adomah started for their Aston Villa side with Christian Atsu being an unused substitute for Newcastle United. The game ended in a one all draw.

In the French Ligue 1, Abdul Majeed Waris came on in the second half for FC Lorient who won their home game against Lyon by a single goal to nil.

In Germany, Abdul Baba Rahman and his Schalke 04 team hit rock bottom of the German Bundesliga with five defeats in their opening five games of the season.

The Ghanaian defender started and played the full duration of the game as his Schalke 04 team lost by two goals to one away to Hoffenheim.

In Belgium, Frank Acheampong was in action for Anderlecht who lost their home game against Westerlo by two goals to one.

Mubarak Wakaso played 65 minutes for his Panathinaikos team in Greece as their game against Panaitolikos ended in a goalless draw. The Ghanaian received a yellow card booking during his time on the pitch.

David Accam could not find the back of the net for his Chicago Fire team who lost by four goals to one against New York City FC. The Ghanaian played the full game for his team with David Villa scoring a brace for New York City FC.

Ghanaian player Lloyd Sam scored in DC United’s 4-1 win against Orlando City in the MLS on Sunday.

Sam started the game but was replaced with Luke Mishu with eight minutes to the end of regular time.

Ghanaian player Patrick Nyarko also played 77 minutes for DC United in the win.

In Spain, Kevin-Prince Boateng missed Las Palmas 2-2 draw against Real Madrid as he is serving a match ban for receiving a red card in the previous La Liga game.

Thomas Partey was an unused substitute for Atletico Madrid in their one nil win against Deportivo La Coruna.
