Recap of the football action for Ghanaian Players Abroad for the weekend before Christmas

Christian Atsu is still working on his game fitness after returning from injury and missed AFC Bournemouth’s 2-1 win against West Bromwich Albion.

Jordan Ayew scored a belter to salvage a point for his Aston Villa side who played 1-1 away at Newcastle United in the English Premier League.

Andre Ayew and his Swansea City teammates could not mastermind a way out of the relegation zone as the Swans were held to a goalless draw at the Liberty Stadium by West Ham United.

In the English Championship, Albert Adomah was on the score sheet for his Middlesbrough side as they won 3-0 against Brighton & Hove Albion to stay top of the league.

Godfred Donsah played 72 minutes for his Bologna side in the Italian Serie A as they lost by three goals to two.

Kwadwo Asamoah could only make the bench for his Juventus side who won their away game against Carpi by three goals to two.

Ghana international Isaac Cofie had 70 minutes of playing time for his Carpi side against Asamoah’s Juventus.

Alfred Duncan made an 82nd minute appearance for Sassuolo in their 1-1 draw away from home in the Italian Serie A.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu started and played in the entire duration of Udinese’s game against Afriyie Acquah’s Torino. Udinese won the game by a lone goal from Stipe Perica.

Afriyie Acquah made a 63rd minute appearance in the game for Torino replacing Marco Benassi.

In the Spanish La Liga, Inaki Williams scored the second of two for his Athletic Bilbao side who won their home game against Levante. Williams played 88 minutes of the game before he was replaced by Iker Muniain.

Mubarak Wakaso missed the 1-0 defeat for his Las Palmas side against Espanyol through injury.

Frank Acheampong played 69 minutes for his Anderlecht side in the Belgium Pro League as they beat Club Brugge by four goals to one.

Ebenezer Assifuah and his Sion side lost by a goal to nil in their away game against FC Zuerich as the Ghanaian played 63 minutes of the game.

Sulley Muntari played 75 minutes of his Al Ittihad side's game against Al Taawon. Al Ittihad won the game by four goals to one.
