Andre Ayew talks about the brightest spot of his career

Ghana became the first African side to win the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2009 in Egypt when they defied all odds to beat Brazil in an intriguing final.

Th 26-year-old, who was the skipper of the team in recounting that moment believes it remains the  best part of his football career.

“It was a great moment, captaining the team all the way, it was a big task for me especially stepping up to play the first penalty kick in the finals against Brazil,” he told FIFA TV

“To me everyone was watching, my teammates were counting on me and I was very happy to set the pace by scoring.

“Winning that competition remains the most memorable moment in my Football career and I don’t think I will ever forget.”

Andre Ayew is currently plying his trade with English Premier League side West Ham United.
