Andre played 82 minutes of the 1-0 win for Swansea before making way for Bafetimbi Gomis.

Jeffrey Schlupp and Daniel Amartey both made substitute appearances for Leicester City in their English Premier League game against Watford on Saturday.

Premier League leaders Leicester City won by a goal to nil to go five points clear at the top of the table.

In the English Championship, Albert Adomah played the full game for Middlesbrough as they won by two goals to one against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Mubarak Wakaso missed Las Palmas’ 1-0 away victory at Villarreal after being ruled out of football action for four weeks with an injury.

Bernard Mensah was an unused substitute as his Getafe team played 1-1 at home against Sevilla in the Spanish La Liga.

Christian Atsu played his first full game for Malaga in their away game against Deportivo La Coruna. The Ghanaian got injured in his debut game for the club but has now returned to full fitness as he played in the entire duration of the 3-3 draw against Deportivo La Coruna.

In Italy, Alfred Duncan scored for his Sassuolo team in their 2-0 win over Kevin-Prince Boateng’s AC Milan.

Duncan started and played the full duration of the Italian Serie A game with Kevin-Prince Boateng making a substitute appearance for AC Milan on his birthday.

Ghanaian midfielder Afriyie Acquah played the full game as his Torino team shared the spoils with Lazio in the Italian Serie A. Torino opened the scoring in the first half with Lazio pulling level in the second half to end the game at 1-1.

Kwadwo Asamoah was an unused substitute for Italian Champions Juventus as they won by two goals with reply against Atalanta on Sunday.

Isaac Cofie played the full goalless draw game between his Carpi side and Bologna in Italy on Sunday.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu had 59 minutes of playing time for his Udinese team in their away defeat against Frosinone. The Ghanaian midfielder was replaced by Matos as his team lost by 2-0.

In Switzerland, Ebenezer Assifuah played 69 minutes for Sion in their 2-0 victory over FC Vaduz.

Samuel Inkoom was sent off for a second bookable offence as his Antalyaspor side were beaten by two goals to one away from home in the Turkish league.

On the opening weekend of the Major League Soccer, Gideon Baah made his debut for New York Red Bulls in their game against Toronto FC.

The Ghanaian defender and his team lost their home game by two goals to nil against Toronto FC.

David Accam resumed his scoring duties for Chicago Fire in the new season as the Ghanaian bagged one from the penalty spot against New York City FC.

New York City FC however won the seven-goal thriller by edging Accam’s team four goals to three.

Kwadwo Poku was an unused substitute for New York City FC.
