WAFA youngster Daniel Agbloe vows to light up GPL, eyes goalking

The WAFA Defender is bent on making bigger impact in the Ghana Premier League

West Africa Football Academy newly signed speedster, Daniel Adzigodi Lomotey Agbloe has sworn to light up the Ghana Premier league by picking the goal king accolade by end of the season.Even though he is yet to score in the two matches he has featured in so far, both as a substitute he is not worried at all and believes there are more games ahead.The 17 year old wonder kid, a native of Ada in the Greater Accra Region moved from Glow Lamp Soccer Academy to WAFA this season and is expected to lead the strike force of the club in the absence of the Togolese striker, Komlan Agbegniandan.The former Denart Soccer Academy of Ada youngster is poised to make a mark for WAFA this season and said he is happy with his debut season at the club so far.At colts level, he emerged top scorer in the 2014 Ada colts league and eventually emerged the best player . He was the overall top scorer for his colts club Denart Soccer Academy before moving to Glow Lamp Soccer  Academy under the mentorship of former Ghana international, Nii Odantey Lamptey in the 2015/2016 season where he scored over twenty goals for the academy side."I am happy to be playing in the Ghana Premier League for the first time, my target is to make a mark this season by scoring lots of goals. My target is to get enough experience this season and explode by next season, if my effort is rewarded with a call up into the national under 20 side it will be a plus," he said."My sincere condolences goes to the family of the late technical director of WAFA, coach Sam Arday. I wish he stayed longer so that I will learn a lot more from him. I only spent few weeks here but I saw his positive contributions," Young Agbloe acknowledged."I thank my former director, Nii Odartey Lamptey for his role in my career and my uncle, Denart Adzigodi Dennis as well," the teenage striker added.Agbloe was speaking after his new side's 2-0 win over Ebusua Dwarfs at WAFA stadium in Sogakope last Sunday when he came in for Togolese striker and skipper Komlan Agbegniandan after he picked up injury in the 83rd minute. Agbloe also came in as a substitute in their first league game against Medeama at Tarkwa and had great touches in both games.
