West African Football Academy defeated Ashgoldve 2-1 in Sogakope in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

WAFA defeat Ashgold 2-1 in Sogakope
Skipper Martin Antwi fired home the first goal in the 2nd minute before Black Satellites player, Charles Boateng made it 2-0.

WAFA were without Dutch coach John Killa who vacated his role after a six year spell but displayed no ill-effects from his abscence.
Killa’s assistant, Patron Akakpo, masterminded a comfortable victory over Ashgold even without their influential attacker Samuel Tetteh who joined Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg earlier this week.

Influential skipper Martin Antwi steered home the opener for WAFA on the 2nd minute mark. Antwi finished off a brilliant move initiated from midfield by the exciting Academy Boys.
Ghana U20 midfielder Caleb Amankwaa squeezed through two defenders before playing through Antwi who swerved Fatau Dauda to open the scoring for WAFA.
Boateng scored the second goal in the 75th minute he outwitted national goal Fatau Dauda with a sublime finish.
Ashgold reduced the deficit five minutes later when striker Abdul Safiu Mumuni managed to beat Razak Abalora in the WAFA post.
