The match day with the highest number of goals is match day six (6), which witnessed 24 goals across the eight (8) league centres.

Match day nine (9) registered the lowest number of goals- 9 goals

The first player to score in the 2016-17 Ghana Premier League was Joseph Esor of Ebusua Dwarfs, when the Cape Coasters walloped Bolga All Stars 3-1.

Hans Kwofie was the first player to score a hat-trick in the ongoing league- He was on target thrice as AshGold won 3-1 against Gt. Olympics

Yakubu Mohammed of Asante Kotoko was the first player to score a brace, as the Porcupine Warriors recovered from a goal down to beat Liberty Professionals 3-1.

The JE Amoah Mensah of Ebusua Dwarfs was the first player to be sent off: WAFA 2-0 Dwarfs

Nicholas Gyan of Ebusua Dwarfs is the leading topscorer in the league with seven goals

Edusua Dwarfs are the most indiscipline side in the league. They have been sent off twice.

West African Football Academy (WAFA) are sitting at the summit of the league ladder with 20 points, with Aduana Stars who have a game in hand trailing them by two points.

Bolga All Stars, the debutants are lying at the bottom of the 16-club league with eight (8) points.

WAFA have scored more goals than any other side- 15 goals

Bolga All Stars have conceded the highest number of goals after match day 10- 19 goals.

Accra Gt. Olympics had to wait until match day 9 to record their first league win, when they defeated Ebusua Dwarfs 1-0, but they had won a protest to claim all the three points against Bolga All Stars, because the latter used an unqualified player, hence making their wins two.

WAFA have won the highest number of matches this season- 6 from 10 games.

The games with the highest number of goals: Berekum Chelsea 5-1 AshGold, AshGold 2-4 Bechem United and Hearts of Oak 4-2 Bechem United- Each of the three games recorded six goals.

Abdul Bashiru of Bechem United hit the headlines on match day 10 when he scored from a direct corner kick against Hearts of Oak- the first in the ongoing season.

Hearts of Oak piped Asante Kotoko 1-0 in what was the top-liner in the first round of the 2016-17 Ghana Premier League to end eight years jinx against Kotoko in Accra.

Medeama on match day 10 registered their first league victory against Asante Kotoko at their home grounds in Tarkwa.

Samuel Sarfo scored the 100th goal in the 2016-17 Ghana Premier League when Liberty Professionals came from a goal down to beat Ebusua Dwarfs 2-1 at Dansoman on match day six

Inter Allies played their 100th game in the Ghana Premier League in a 1-1 draw against Berekum Chelsea in the midweek.
