Sowah Odotei will not resign as Hearts MD

I don’t think my work at Hearts is going to conflict with my political duties - Sowah Odotei

Odotei on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) stunned the incumbent Nii Amassah Nomoale (from the National Democratic Congress) to win the seat.

After the December 7th polls, many have called on the former King Faisal CEO step down as Hearts of Oak MD since it will conflict with his Political duties but the tough talking football administrator thinks otherwise.

“Yes I will still be in football administration, I am not going to stop. I don’t think my work at Hearts is going to conflict with my political duties,” he said.

“That fact that I will now be in Parliament doesn’t mean I will stop my work as MD for Hearts”, he added.

Last season Odotei was heavily criticized following Kenichi Yatsuashi’s departure from the club when the Accra giants was in pole position to end their seven-season league title drought.
