"It’s almost a done deal now for me to join Accra Hearts of Oak for the 2016/17 league season," he told Kumasi-based Angel FM.

"I was contacted by Mr Edmund Ackah of Kumasi Asante Kotoko but he wasn't serious about a possible move."

Akowuah will be Hearts of Oak second signing after the capture of Danbort forward Henry Lamptey.
