Liberty Prof. players to boycott training over unpaid salaries

The playing body of the Scientific Soccer lads have threatened to boycott training session due to non-payment of salaries for four months and seven unpaid winning bonuses.

Liberty Professionals are in danger of suffering relegation for the very first time in the club’s history- they are 12th in the league and are just a point better than the 13th placed club Inter Allies.

And with three matches to end the season the disgruntled players of the Dansoman based outfit have threatened to boycott training.

Danger is really looming, since the club have a tie at home against the league leaders, Wa All Star who also need the three points to boost their historic title ambition.

Pulse Sports understands that the club is not financial sound because one of their directors, George Afriyie now channels plenty of his finances into Okyeman Planners, who are on the verge of qualifying for the Ghana Premier League to the detriment of Liberty Professionals.

Liberty Professionals 'launched Operation win a trophy' to mark their  20th anniversary this year. They started the season well in the first round but have been struggling to find their feet in the second half of the season, having won just a game in 12 matches.

Liberty Professionals were also knocked out of the FA Cup in the semi-finals by Okwawu United.
