They are lying 10 on the league log and are willing to survive in the Ghana Premier League.

Yusif Abubakar’s side have the sensational youngster Baba John Mahama, who hit the headlines in the first round for his incisive passes to split defence and accurate freekicks.

They also have Stephen Manu, who will be playing against his former club.

Kotoko

The Porcupine Warriors are entering into this game, after the board had told the General Manager of the club Opoku Nti that his term of office which comes to an end on 30th June is likely not going to be renewed.

Michael Osei took over from coach David Duncan on match day 7 and revived the fortunes of Asante Kotoko, who were at the time lying bottom of the league ladder. He propelled his team to 7 league victories out of 9 league games played to finish the first round on 3rd position on the league log.

However, the Porcupine Warriors were stunned at home in the quarter finals of the MTN FA Cup by Bechem United to deny them a semi-final berth on last week Sunday.

Dauda Mohammed the leading top scorer of the team with 7 league goal had a bad day in office against Bechem united in the FA Cup, missing a penalty within regulation time and missed again in the penalty shootout to deny his side a place in the semi-finals.

Head to head

Kotoko walloped Bechem United 4-2 in the first round at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, a game Dauda Mohammed bagged a hat-trick.
