The Porcupine Warriors long wait for a win at Berekum against Chelsea continued as they were held to a goalless draw on Sunday

It was a game of two halves: the hosts Berekum Chelsea controlled the game in the first half, but they couldn't breakdown the defence of Asante Kotoko.
However, Asante Kotoko also took over the game in the second half especially after Ashittey Ollenu was introduced, his combination with Emmanuel Gyamfi gave the Medeama defence torrid moments as they dribbled through them with much ease, which resulted in series of infringements behind the 18-yard box.
Asante Kotoko should have taken the lead after Ollenu created a decent goalscoring opportunity but the effort was wasted.
Last season Asante Kotoko lost 0-2 at the Golden City Park in Berekum. The last time the 23 champions ran away with all the three maximum points in the league at Berekum against the 2010-11 champions was the 2009-10 season.
Emmanuel Gyamfi was named the Man of the Match
