Kotoko rake in GH¢ 345,000 from gate against Hearts

The Porcupine Warriors earned a gross of GH¢ 345,000 from gate proceeds on Sunday against the Phobians

Asante Kotoko settled for a one all against the arch-rivals, Hearts of Oak on match day 21 in a tension packed game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi.

The Operations Manager of the Kumasi giants, George Kennedy has indicated the amount gained from gate proceeds in the biggest domestic football tie in Ghana.

“In monetary terms the game recorded GH¢ 345,000 gross from gate proceeds,” George Kennedy told Pulse.com.gh

However, it failed to match the GH¢ 450,000 realised from the gates in the first leg that ended 1-0 in favour of Asante Kotoko at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in May 2.

The GH¢ 450,000 is subject to deductions by the National Sports Authority, VAT and the 10% of the amount will go to the Ghana Football Association.
