Kotoko part ways with Opoku Nti

Kotoko wont renew the contract of the club's General Manager when it expires on 30th June, 2016

The General Manager of Asante Kotoko was informed by the board of directors in the same meeting they finally parted ways with David Duncan on Wednesday.

Pulse Sports understands that Opoku Nti is expected to submit his handover notes by 2nd July, which is next month, since his term of office which comes to an end won’t be renewed by the club.

Opoku Nti was appointed in 2013 as the acting General Manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, following the resignation of Dr. Kofi Kodua Sarpong and was later confirmed for the position.

The former skipper of the club would forever be remembered for winning the club’s historic double of league and FA Cup in 2014, something that was missing in the enviable history of the club.

However, the team went trophy less last season, intensifying agitation for a change of management to put in place a well-structured administrative tool for Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
