Hearts PRO explains why the club is yet to unveil new coach

Hearts of Oak are yet to unveil a new coach. The PRO of the club has confirmed.

Frank Nuttal arrived last week to take over as manager of the Ghana Premier League giants; however, the club is yet to present him to the fans.

The 48-year-old was once again missing when Hearts unveiled their players and new kits over the weekend, prompting doubts over whether the Scot will eventually become coach of the club.

However, the club’s PRO has denied rumours of a breakdown in negotiations, insisting coach Nuttal was missing from the unveiling ceremony because he was unwell.

Explaining the Scottish trainer’s absence in an interview with Asempa FM, Opare Addo said: “We had wanted to outdoor the coach together with our new players and kits. But rather unfortunately, the coach complained of not feeling well after training so we decided not to hold the programme as scheduled.

“So what we decided was to go ahead and unveil our new players and kits so that we look for another tome to unveil the coach. He originally arrived at the venue of the unveiling but he was not feeling well so he had to return to his hotel.”

Hearts of Oak will kickstart the 2016/17 league campaign with a tough away fixture against Inter Allies later on Monday.
