Accra Hearts of Oak were held to a 1-1 draw by Liberty Professionals on match-day 16 of the 2016/2017 Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Hearts of Oak fans were left frustrated as their side failed to record the double over city rivals Liberty Professionals at the Accra sports stadium.

Liberty opened the scoring a with great team goal in the 34th minute after some dazzling play by Richard Boateng on the left flank of the Hearts penalty box as he beautifully teed up Eshun who nipped the ball past Samuel Akrugu.
But the Phobians will pile more on pressure and be rewarded with penalty as Vicent Atinga expertly converted from the penalty spot after Patrick Razak was brought down by Liberty goalkeeper Emmanuel Annan.
Patrick Razak came close in giving Hearts the lead but his flying header in the six yard box narrowly went wide of the cross bar.
Benjamin Aurthur amazingly put his header wide inside the six yard box after some beautifully curled cross by Boateng as Hearts goalkeeper Samuel Akrugu remained clueless.
The match ended 1-1.
