Hasaacas step up to beat Bechem Utd 3-1 in an empty stadium

Match report of the Ghana Premier League game between Sekondi Hasaacas and Bechem United.

All four goals were scored in the first half, in front of players, coaches and the restricted number of club executives due to the one match ban on the Sekondi stadium.

Eric Bekoe continued his resurgence with a second minute finish from close range. The goal poacher intelligently struck home a cross from Samuel Afful with a first time attempt, to celebrate his goal number eight of the season.

New signing for Hasaacas, Justice Blay headed in a corner kick to double the lead. It was an impressive effort from the diminutive midfielder to make such good account of himself in his second Premier League game.

Hans Kwofie reduced the margin in the 20th minute with a good finish. The former Medeama captain scored on a familiar ground to give the visitors hope.

Hasaacas had their own mission on the day and didn’t want stumble. Attacker Samuel Afful had a pass on the left side, decided to go solo as he skid past two defenders before scoring a great goal in the 36th minute.

It was a culmination of tenacity and precision from Afful. He's worked hard in matches but lacked the finishing to prove his striking ability but here he was with one tremendous goal.

The second half was much of hard play and sluggish finishing from both sides. Both teams did their best but none could further outwit the other to change the result.
