Hasaacas players resume training after Tuesday's boycott

Sekondi Hasaacas players return to training ahead of Ghana Premier League season

There was a massive relief for the management of Sekondi Hasaacas on Wednesday as all registered players reported to training in the afternoon following the players' boycott of Tuesday's training over their unpaid salaries spanning eight months. The management after the incident consulted the leadership of the players, led by Daniel Egyin and George Owu to rescind their decision, which was agreed. However, the agreement was premised on assurance from an unusual source within the club's hierarchy that two months debt will be defrayed before their first league match away to Wa All Stars on Sunday. The outstanding six months debt, according to the source will be sorted out gradually as response from their financial partners look quite positive. The management hope this will restore unalloyed dedication from the players which is a key attribute to the club's resilient campaign in the Premier League since their comeback from lower division in 2013/14 season.Coach Yusif Basigi also sighed a glimmer of hope with his complete squad at training which offers him the competitive team selection for matches rather than the twelve newly signed players he would have taken to Wa because they reported to training on Tuesday.
