Hans Kwoffie scores first hat-trick to fire AshGold to 3-1 victory

The former Medeama attacker emerged as the hero of the afternoon as his three goals powered Ashanti Gold to a 3-1 win against Gt. Olympics on Saturday.

Hans Kwoffie scored the first hat-trick of the 2016-17 season to go top of the topscorers’ chart.

The visitors started the game well and had the brightest opportunity to take the lead when Tahiru’s strike hit the woodwork to deny them the opener.

Hans Kwoffie also hit the crossbar, before Ashanti Gold afterwards had the breakthrough in the 38th minute-Nimble footed Emmanuel Osei Baffour started the damage in midfield and located Amos Addai, who put Hans Kwoffie through and the former Medeama striker did so well by beating his marker to the ball to finish off perfectly.

Three minutes later Hans Kwoffie doubled the lead when Amos Addai’s freekick was expertly struck into the near post to leave Osei Boateng stranded in post for Olympics.

And just a minute into the second half Amos Addai did all the difficult job and put Kwoffie through to score the third goal.

Gt. Olympics came into the game after conceding the third and pulled one back-Ibrahim Iddrisu in the AshGold post mistimed a cross and got beaten to it, before Abel Manomey connected it to pull one back for Olympics.
