Although, Aduana Stars earned a 1-0 win through a controversial freekick, they came under intense pressure and Joseph Addo on countless occasions came to their rescue.

William Denkyi

The Liberty Professionals player was impressive, beginning the attacks of the Dansoman boys from left back position. He picked all the aerial balls when Inter Allies who were not at their best decided to find a breakthrough by send high balls into the Liberty Prof. goal area.

Inusah Musah

Last year’s Ghana Premier League defender of the season was on top of his game. He brought stability to the Hearts of Oak backline and coiled the attacking threats of Medeama who were in control of the game.

He was arguably Kotoko's liveliest defender at the Berekum Golden City Park, and although he seemed a tad overly aggressive (he received a booking and was warned a few times) .He was one of the reasons Kotoko were able to keep a clean sheet against difficult opponents Berekum Chelsea.

Gideon Waja

The WAFA defensive midfielder was amazing against Ebusua Dwarfs. He was everywhere on the field, playing as a box-to-box midfielder. Waja was the Ngolo Kante of the WAFA team, he destroyed possession of the opposing side and maintained possession. His ball distribution was excellent and to crown it all he got the opener for the academy boys through a direct freekick.

Eric Kwakwa

The Medeama central midfielder won the midfield battle when he came up against his former teammate Malik Akowuah now playing for Hearts of Oak. In a game that his midfield partner, Akwesi Donsu wasn’t fully fit to complement his effort, Kwakwa rose to the occasion by neutralising the threat of the Hearts of Oak team. Eric Kwakwa won more balls in midfield and he was brilliant with his distributions.

His positioning and vision was amazing. Kwoffie moved away from his markers to smash the ball home to give AshGold the opener and struck a powerful one in to make 2-0, before he pounced on a through ball to register the first hat-trick.
