The overlapping defender who is the skipper of Liberty Professionals broke the deadlock when they settled for a 1-1 draw against Aduana Stars at Dansoman on Wednesday. He cleared his line very well and protected his area. Despite his frequent eye to support the attack, he recovered very fast to support defensive duties too.
Gideon Waja
The WAFA box to box midfielder controlled the midfield and his distribution contributed to the fall of AshGold at Sogakope. Waja also added his name on the scoresheet as well to seal a day another day of good display.
Justice Blay
The Medeama defensive midfielder won the tussle in the middle of the pack. He won most of the 50-50 ball as Medeama came from behind to beat Asante Kotoko at Tarkwa. His ball distributions and creativity was difficulty for the visitors.
Majeed Ashimeru
The attacking midfielder bossed the midfield and combined effectively with Waja to the fall of Ashanti Gold on Wednesday. His piercing passes and supplies won him the man of the match as his side won 3-0
Wilfred Cobbinah
The playmaker in his first start for Hearts of Oak on his return won the hearts of many football fans who trooped to the stadium to watch Hearts of Oak beat Bechem United 4-2. He assisted all the first three goals scored by the Phobians
Joseph Paintsil
The Tema Youth attacker has been one of the standout players this season in the Ghana Premier League. He got the opener for Tema Youth, before Dwarfs fought back to draw level
Stephen Sarfo
He inspired Berekum Chelsea to earn a vital away point by scoring the opening goal of the match, before Inter Allies cancelled it out. Sarfo in the end was adjudged the man of the match for putting up a good show to frustrate the defence line of Inter Allies.
