Dwarfs hold Ashgold at Obuasi, Chelsea earn late winner

The Miners after two consecutive home wins were denied victory by in-form Ebusua Dwarfs, whereas, Berekum scored a late goal to deepen the woes of New Edubiase United,

The first half ended with both sides failing to find the back of the net.

However, Edusua Dwarfs shot into the lead in the second half, before the Miners realising that defeat was nearing them threw everything into attack and got the equaliser through Shafiu Mumuni.

Dwarfs were resolute in defence to curb the incessant pressure from AshGold to earn a point.

Meanwhile, Berekum Chelsea defeated New Edubiase United 2-1 at the Golden City Park, Berekum on Saturday on match day 21 of the Ghana Premier League in a tension packed match.

The Edubiase lads thought they were at least leaving the Golden City Park with a point, after Felix Adjei had cancelled out Stephen Owusu’s opener, but Nana Tei-Horsu snatched the hosts the much awaited winner to give Solomon Odwo’s charges all the three points.
