Berekum Chelsea deepen New Edubiase woes

Match report of the Ghana Premier League game between Berekum Chelsea and New Edubiase.

The former Premier League champions went into the game from the backdrop of a 1-0 loss at Hearts of Oak while the Bekwai based club drew goalless with Hasaacas at home.

Solomon Odwo’s side dominated the away side from the blast of the whistle and they were awful upfront which they had to wait till the 35 minute for Stephen Owusu to score the first goal from the spot.

Before the break, the away side came into the game strongly and they kept the host under the cosh which they grabbed the equalizer through Nana Yaw Afriyie.

However in the 67 minute Berekum Chelsea restored their lead through Nana Tei-Horsu. Edubiase tried fighting back but the host thwarted all their dangerous moves to win the game.

At the Techiman Park, Techiman City showed Inter Allies their real size with a 2-0 win.

The Premier League debutantes unsettled the Tema based side in the first half and they scored two swift goals through Clement Boahene and Isaac Baah’s spot kick.

Inter Allies after their poor display in the first half were all gun blazing in the second stanza but  they failed to make good use of the chances they had as they traveled back to Tema with no point.
