AshGold coach eyes top four finish after Accra stalemate

The Ghana Premier League champions have set a target to finish in one of the top four positions.

The defending league champions who started the season on a poor not have begun picking up the pieces as they held league leaders Hearts of Oak to a 1-1 draw game on Wednesday.

Mambo who is acting as the Miners head coach due to the absence of Bashir Hayford revealed the Obuasi based club’s target at the end of the season saying:

“We play all the good football but we don’t get the results which has affected our position in the League and that is football for you.”

“We didn’t start the League too well but gradually we are picking up and you saw the kind of football we played today.

“I am sure we will finish in a respectable position by the end of the season. Our aim is to be among the top four clubs, there are eight games to go so let us wait and see what happens.”

Ashanti Gold currently sit at the 11 position with 26 points.
