Aduana stun Medeama at Tarkwa

The FA Cup champions were handed a 0-1 defeat at home on Thursday.

Medeama SC suffered a 0-1 defeat against Aduana Stars at the T and A Park on Thursday on match day 22 of the Ghana Premier League.

The CAF Confederation Cup 3-1 win on Tuesday against Young African of Tanzania had a toll on Medeama SC, as they blew away an opportunity to jump to second place on the league table, with another game in hand.

Kwesi Donsu failed to continue his impressive goal scoring form in the league when he wasted a first-half penalty kick. The goal would have taken him to 10 goals in the top scorer’s chart.

Aduana had their turn of the opportunities in the second half and Yahaya Mohammed hit the back of the net to give the Dormaa lads all the three points.

Yahaya Mohammed’s goal will send him joint top scorer with Latif Blessing.

Latif Blessing on Wednesday bagged a hat-trick against Hasaacas to increase his tally to 13 goals.
