Essien, Pele to play in charity match

Ghana legend Abedii Pele Ayew and Michael Essien are among African stars expected to feature in a charity game.

Abedi Pele Ayew and Michael Essien are expected to be in action in April and May.

The game organised by former African footballer of the year, Nwanko Kanu is aimed at raising funds for his Heart Foundation and Nelson Mandela Foundation.

Other notable stars who are expected to play in the charity games are Austin ‘Jay-Jay’ Okocha, Didier Drogba, Daniel Amokachi, Pape Diouf and  Samuel Eto’o amongst others will take part in the two -legged charity games.

Serie A

The first leg will happen in Nigeria on 8th April, with the return leg on 6th May in South Africa
