Andre Ayew thanks Black Stars for the love

Black Stars vice-captain Andre Ayew was impressed with the love showed by his teammates in the game against Rwanda on Saturday and this is what he had to say.

Ghana shared the spoils with Rwanda in their final Africa Cup of Nations qualifying group game on Saturday.

Samuel Tetteh scored Ghana’s goal in the 1-1 draw against Rwanda. The Black Stars players in celebrating the goal displayed shirts with Andre Ayew’s number and a ‘GET WELL SOON AYEW’ message.

Black Stars vice-captain Ayew got injured in his first Premier League game after his record signing to West Ham United. The former Swansea City player could be out for up to December 2016.

Andre who was impressed with the gesture displayed by his international teammates took to his Twitter page to post:

“Thanks for the love u all showed me [Heart emoji] have no words..will be back soon inshallah”

Andre Ayew offered to pay for the air tickets for members of the Black Stars who could not afford to travel after the Sports Ministry said it was cash strapped and could not take up that cost.
