Indian Super League side, North East United completed the signing of Ghanaian striker, Francis Dadzie on Thursday to further boost their striking force for the new season.

The 20-year-old hitman is the fifth foreigner recruited by the franchise for the second edition of Indian Super League, as they seek antidotes to their poor goal scoring form last season.

According to reports in India, the powerfully built Dadzie's scoring prowess in the Ghana Premier League where he played for Bechem United, caught the attention of North East United officials who expect the striker to be knocking on the doors of the Ghana national team soon.

North East United struggled with finding the target in last year's debut Indian Super league season, scoring a paltry 11 goals in their 14 matches, a problem that killed their hopes for a top-half finish.

The Ghanaian is their fourth acquisition to fill the strikers’ slot in the North East United FC’s squad for the new term and the side's Venezuelan coach, Cesar Farias is purring with excitement over his new recruit.

“Francis is a very strong player who knows how to use his power and take advantage to create chances. He can pressurize defenders and his youth adds more desire and hunger up-front. He has an impressive left-foot as well, which is an additional advantage,” said Coach Farias.
