Cameroon came from behind to beat Guinea Bissau on Wednesday night, a result that takes the Indomitable Lions to the top of Group A at the ongoing Africa Cup of nations in Gabon.

Hugo Broos' men put up an impressive performance of perseverance at Stade de L'Amitie to record the first win in Group A, which had seen its first three games end in 1-1 draws.

Second half strikes from Sebastien Siani and Michael Ngadeu Ngadjui helped the four-time champions recover from a goal-of-the-tournament contender solo goal scored by Guinea Bissau's Piqueti, who took the ball from the half way line, waltzed his past everyone, and coolly slotted the ball home.

Baciro Cande's Guinea Bissau will hope to beat Burkina Faso in their last game on January 22 in Franceville to stand any chance of making it past the first round in their first ever AFCON appearance.
