Italy based Ghana footballer, Godfred Donsah has shown his humanitarian side once again after his family made a donation on his behalf to an orphanage near his hometown on New Year's  Day.

Donsah's sisters, Augustina Kyeraa Donsah and Hannah Kyerewaa Donsah led a family delegation to present assorted food and toiletries including bags of rice, soap, drinks, biscuits, oil, milk, washing powder, toilet rolls among other items to the Compassion is Love in Action Orphanage (CILIA Children's Home) located at Yawhina near Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region on January 1, 2016.

"It's our little way of showing love to the orphans as we enter the new year, we just want to make them happy. put smiles on their faces," Hannah Kyerewaa Donsah explained to Pulse Ghana Sports.

"We thank God for Godfred's career and we promise that we'll do more of this in the years to come by the grace of God," Miss Donsah added.

"The management of Compassion is Love in Action (CILIA), Yawhina has the pleasure to render its profound appreciation to you for your voluntary assistance given to the Home," read a letter signed by Mama Charlotte, founder of the orphanage housing about 200 beneficiaries.

"Both the management and the inmates shall continue to pray to God to shower his blessing onto whatever work you may undertake to multiply. We are most grateful, God richly bless you," it added.

Donsah himself barely two weeks ago donated jerseys and footballs to his childhood club, DC United and as well as Young Apostles and other teams in his hometown of Daadom, all in the Brong Ahafo Region whilst in the country on a very short holiday to shoot a documentary on his career with his Serie A club, Bologna TV.

The 19 year old box-to-box midfielder has been the talk of European football over the past year after excelling first for Cagliari before switching to Bologna.

He played all of the Black Satellites four games at last year's U-20 World Cup in New Zealand and was even handed a debut Black Stars call-up by Avram Grant in September, even tough he missed the opportunity due to injury.
