Ghana and Pescara midfielder, Sulley Muntari has disclosed that he has already held talks with Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah with an eye on a return to the national team fold.

Muntari was indefinitely suspended from the national team after reportedly assaulting a management member of the Black Stars during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The 32-year-old has since not played for his nation despite writing a letter to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to apologize for his actions.

A couple of weeks ago, Muntari stated that he was open to a return to the national team, insisting he “misses the Black Stars”.

And the former AC Milan anchorman has now confirmed that he has already held talks with Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah concerning a return to the national tem set-up.

“I am not yet retired [from international football] even though I have been out of the Ghana Black Stars team for a long time,” Muntari told the press while on a UN travel to Uganda with former team-mate Keisuke Honda.“I am ready to work out with my new club and get recalled. A couple of days ago I spoke with the manager [Kwesi] Appiah and we talked about my future.”

Muntari has 84 caps to his belt in national team colours, with 20 goals to his credit.
