Injured Baba Rahman confident of quick recovery

The Black Stars left back was substituted during Ghana's win over Uganda after an injury.

Black Stars defender Baba Rahman will undergo further tests on his knee after picking up an injury in the Black Stars's AFCON 2017 opening game against Uganda.

An Andre Ayew first half penalty was what separated the two teams in a physically tasking game that saw the Schalke left back substituted after a hefty challenge from Ugandan forward Farouk Miya.

In an interview with Pulse.com.gh after the game, the defender revealed he would need further tests.

“At this stage we need to examine the injury and see what is going on. I can say its not so painful as before."

Rahman also expressed satisfaction with the result after being at the end of two uninspiring results against the Cranes of Uganda.

“I am the happiest man today regardless of my injury. I went in to fight because we cannot play three games against Uganda without a win. We got the win and I am happy.
