Ronaldo explains how his hairstyle inspired Brazil to win 2002 World Cup

Brazilian legend, Luis Ronaldo says he had the daftest hairstlye ahead of the 2012 FIFA World Cup to divert attention from his injury troubles.

Luis Ronaldo Da Lima has revealed that he had the daftest haircut going into the 2002 tournament to spare him the bad press he would have had with regards to his injury return.

The three times FIFA Footballer of the Year was sidelined for several months, before the start of the 2002 FIFA World Cup in Korea/Japan, but he returned to the Mundial with the daftest haircut which became the taking point.

He scored an incredible 8 goals as Brazil won the FIFA World Cup for a record fifth time in Korea/Japan 2002.

And Ronaldo has disclosed the motive behind the hairstyle.

"My groin was hurting. I was only at 60%. So I shaved my head.

"Everybody was only talking about my injury. When I arrived in training with this haircut everybody stopped talking about the injury."
