Fernando Santos has added Benfica forward Pizzi to Portugal's squad to replace Nani for the European champions' upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

Portugal host Andorra in Group B on Friday, before an away clash with Faroe Islands on Monday.

A statement from Portugal confirmed that Valencia winger Nani is not fit to face Andorra, meaning Pizzi is in contention to add to his four caps.

Santos' side lost their opening qualifier 2-0 against Switzerland, but are boosted by the return of superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who will be involved in his first international action since a knee injury brought a premature end to his involvement in the final of Euro 2016.
