The footballer and his accomplice were remanded by the presiding judge despite pleading not guilty for the charges and will reappear on February 1
The bag of the complainant contained bible, books, pair of shoes and other valuables
Superintendent of Police Patience Mario who presented the case in the court said that the complainant Ezinogo Eugene Selasi, a customer service personnel with Kingdom Books and Stationery had closed from church and on returning home around Kanda area on 18th January, 2018, when Abdul Razak, a footballer who stays at Mamobi and his accomplice drove towards his direction while riding a motorbike.
They ordered him (complainant) to give them his bag, but he refused and it resulted in a struggle, however, one of the accused drew a cutlass from his attire and threatened to harm Eugene Selasi if he does't surrender, which he obliged.

However, the complainant had shouted for help during the struggle and that alerted some of the people in the neighbourhood, including the Police who were at the TV 3 premises.
The Police gave the thieves a hot chase and in their quest to drive away, Abdul Razak, the footballer fell off the bike and got arrested.
However, Asmah escaped while Abdul Razak was handed over to the police.
He could not lead the police to arrest his accomplice.
